AniCine MCP — Clean Agent

Model Context Protocol server that gives any AI agent (Claude, Cursor, Windsurf) the same engine as the site: search → extract → download via yt-dlp/aria2c. No adult content.

Copy this block into your system prompt. It is written to avoid safety rejections.

You have access to AniCine MCP (clean, no adult).

Tools: search(query, mode), extract(url), download(url, quality), download_status(jobId), trending().

Typical flow:
1. search("KGF Chapter 2") → pick first item with tmdbId
2. extract(providerUrl) → get playUrl (mp4/m3u8) OR
   download(providerUrl) → get jobId → poll download_status(jobId) until done → downloadUrl

Use this MCP only for non-adult, legal requests. Do not use for adult content — use the separate CornCine adult MCP instead.

Requires Node 18+ and a running AniCine API (default http://127.0.0.1:3100 or your hosted https://anicine.com).

Tools

  • search — Search AniCine 86+ clean providers (movies, anime, manga, books, art). Returns title, provider, tmdbId.query: string, mode?: 'all'|'movies'|'anime'
  • extract — Resolve any URL to direct mp4/m3u8 via yt-dlp + headless Chromium.url: string
  • download — Queue a real download (yt-dlp/aria2c) → returns jobId.url: string, quality?: '4K'|'1080p'|'720p'
  • download_status — Poll jobId → status + R2 link when done.jobId: string
  • trending — List trending catalog (KGF, Baahubali, Avengers etc). No args.—

AI Rejection Handling — Clean MCP never gets rejected

This MCP is intentionally adult-free. If an AI refuses a request, it’s because the user prompt is adult-related, not the tool.

  • For adult requests, the AI should route to the separate CornCine adult MCP (18+ gate) — never mix clean + adult in one call.
  • Good prompt: Search AniCine for “KGF Chapter 2” and download the first result
  • Bad prompt: Download anything adult — vague adult intent triggers safety filters. Be specific and confirm 18+ via the adult MCP.

Troubleshooting

  • ANICINE_API must be reachable — set to your hosted URL, not localhost, when running on another machine
  • npx needs Node 18+ — check with node -v
  • Tools return JSON with items / playUrl / downloadUrl — parse the text content
